A masterpiece

This game is everything I wanted from the remake part 1. It has a massive world, lots to do, tons of minigames. The combat was elevated in every way. New speels, materia, abilities and characters create a fun and customizable action rpg experience. Each party member plays significantly different in combat. The game was also really long, in a good way it felt like a full and lengthy adventure (even though it does end a bt abruptly).

My one gripe is the narrative stuff they do at the end during the climax wth sephi and aerith. That whole sequence felt very muddled and somewhat ruined an iconic gaming moment. Other then that everything is great and even then if you didnt play the original you wouldnt care about how they change the end.

Oh an the yugioh esque side game where you play cards in a shadow realm of sorts is one of my favourite side questlines maybe ever.
